Systems Administrator/Engineer

  1. Manage the day to day maintenance, documentation, troubleshooting, and monitoring of the national information systems.

  2. Responsible for being a management/escalation contact point and liaison for the local management team.

  3. Perform the duties of Technical Support Coordinator, with responsibility for managing/coordinating support for internal and external clients.

  4. Responsible for the administration / guidance of our workstation, server (virtual, physical, cloud) and storage environments.

  5. Perform Tier 1-3 level systems / network repairs and coordinate with vendors when necessary.

  6. Create and maintain system and disaster recovery documentation, with respect to all Windows and Unix server platforms.

  7. Other project management and support duties as assigned.

  8. Providing support to the Helpdesk.

    1. Answering, evaluating, and prioritizing requests for assistance

    2. Logging and tracking requests using helpdesk ticketing system, maintains history records, and related problem documentation.

  9. Handling problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up, referring more complex problems to outside consultants or other technical staff.

  10. Installing, documenting, inventorying, maintaining, and troubleshooting all information technology assets including but not limited to:

    1. Physical network infrastructure: cabling, switches, routers, etc.

    2. Hardware: personal computers, servers, printers, personal digital assistants, etc.

    3. Application software products

    4. Server and personal computer operating system software

    5. Email (physical and cloud)

    6. Data backups, replication and redundancy

    7. Security policies and procedures

  11. Maintaining current knowledge and skills through in-services, workshops, and/or seminars

  12. Demonstrating flexibility in adjusting to variable workload and job duties

  13. Participating in maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work environment

  14. Abiding by the strict confidentiality policy of the company and its clients

  15. Treating clients, fellow employees, investors, and visitors with respect and dignity at all times

  16. Shows sincere commitment and adherence to all Corporate Compliance issues

  17. Self-discipline, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a detail-oriented working style

  18. Planning and managing projects without supervision

Education and/or Experience

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 8+ years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  2. 5+ years' experience supporting LAN/WAN network infrastructure and Windows networking environments.

  3. Experience working with and managing external vendors with the ability to diagnose and correct network, and server problems.

  4. Proficiency with virtual servers (HyperV and VMware)

  5. Proficiency with enterprise class storage (NetApp / VMware)

  6. Advanced proficiency in application software, such as: word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, e-mail, and database software.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
