Primary responsibilities include:
Research and document accounting matters that arise, including those around consolidation, joint venture formations, debt, business combinations, etc.
Assist with the review and adoption of new accounting pronouncements, including the implementation of the new revenue recognition guidance
Assist with quarterly and annual external and internal audit processes
Assist in review of 10-K's and 10-Q's
Perform ad-hoc requests, including special projects

Qualifications
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA strongly encouraged
3 to 5 years public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 accounting firm
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
Deadline-oriented, highly organized self-starter/motivator
Ability to multi-task
Real estate-related accounting experience a plus

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
