EP is responsible for the late lifecycle management and optimization of a variety of products across a 4 diverse Therapeutic Area Portfolios:
Internal Medicine/Infectious Diseases (IM/ID); Neuroscience (includes Psychiatry, Neurology and Anesthetics); Cardiovascular/Metabolism/Pulmonary Hypertension; and Oncology & Immunology.
As part of its key priorities, EP proactively collaborates with internal functions and external partners to manage products in the EP portfolio through maintenance and compliance activities as well as to apply late lifecycle strategies to address areas of unmet medical need, including collaborating on key projects addressing global public health issues.
The Associate Director, Business Transformation & Operations is a member of the Strategy, Portfolio & Operations team and is dedicated to maximizing the value of EP s portfolio through the execution of business strategies, projects and initiatives and supporting successful development of new capabilities that support the organization s long-term vision.
This individual will think strategically and tactically, and contribute to the creation of value, driving productivity and the sustainability of the OCMO s mission.
Responsibilities for the Associate Director, Business Transformation & Operations role include:
Strategic Projects & Execution:
Lead the successful execution of strategic initiatives aligned with key focus areas, goals and objectives, and strategic priorities to drive cross-functional and cross-regional alignment, accountability and commitment.
Data Management & Reporting:
Manage timely updates and reporting of critical data supporting EP s business, including the EP ambassador deck, EP fact sheet, key performance indicators, distribution lists, OCMO reporting metrics, etc.
Digital Asset Management:
In partnership with Business Unit IT Lead and other partners, manage ongoing and new development opportunities to enhance the EP Integrated Information Network as well as other digital assetsCommunications:
Collaborate seamlessly across the various functional and regional departments to drive communications strategy execution ensuring that news stories and other information impacting EP s business is disseminated through multiple communications channels.
Meeting Management:
Lead the planning, facilitation and collaboration supporting Global Summit, Regional Workshops, Town Hall meetings.
Represent EP on the CAPA Review Board meeting.
Capability Building:
Lead, manage and operationalize a variety of innovation project initiatives focused on developing new capabilities for the organization.
Operational Finance:
Track and summarize financials, PO Burn, HC & BvA tracking; maintain forecasting/management process for TE & Professional Services spend, troubleshoot spend issues;Process Excellence:
Lead implementation of process improvement initiatives including driving business priorities, efficiencies and compliance requirements.
Ensure that best practices and innovations are incorporated into the organization s thinking and are being utilized.
Talent Development & Learning:
Explore and implement techniques for creating motivated and focused teams, aligned with organizational talent development goals and with company policy; Coordinate annual talent recognition processesInnovation - Identify, define, and promote business cases for innovative capabilities that support the organization s long-term vision collaborating with cross-functional and cross-regional members to ensure broad-based thinking and sharing of best practices.
CREDO-based Leadership - Assists in the growth of the OCMO culture through mentoring, guidance and role-modelling.
Build and leverage strong and positive relationships with functional leaders and partners, colleagues and related functions across the organization.
QualificationsQualifications for the Associate Director, Strategy, Portfolio & Operations include:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree required.
Advanced degree in business, quantitative or life sciences preferred.
Minimum of 8
years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry required.
Minimum 3 years experience working within a global strategy, business operations or portfolio management organization in a matrixed pharmaceutical R&D or Commercial organization required.
Previous experience with portfolio level analytics in a pharmaceutical R&D and/or commercial environment is required.
In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical R&D and commercial processes over the product life cycle, from discovery to late lifecycle.
Knowledge/deep understanding of portfolio management related systems and tools is an asset.
In-depth understanding of finance principles.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to form relationships, act as a change agent, and adapt to constantly evolving organizational and business needs is required.
Innovative thinking and approach - Capable of identifying, adapting, and applying innovative and creative methodologies.
Self starter, independent problem solver with significant experience working in a highly matrixed environment.
Must be willing and able to travel approximately 10%.
The base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550.
