This role will lead strategic Procurement efforts and New Product Introduction across the Global Supply Chain organization supporting the Access Technologies(AT) Business Unit (BU). This position has responsibility for a global annual spend of approximately $220M in direct materials spend encompassing all aspects of business, category, and supply base management. You will be instrumental in the development and execution of effective sourcing strategies, data driven supplier selection processes, identifying supply chain related risks and provide recommendations on mitigation and collaboration with business partners supporting cost reduction activities. We will look to you to ensure that the Global Procurement strategy is aligned with the our Business Unit's and Operations strategic objectives. More specifically, this includes:
Defining overall procurement strategic direction for planning, organizing, leading, measuring, and analyzing the sourcing of direct materials globally for the AT business. Continuous review and analysis of the strategy is required to accommodate changes in market dynamics. Help formulate strategy, recommend & implement solutions and adjust according to BU demands. Develop and implement on key strategic programs and projects to align with the needs of the business. Contributes to the planning, development, communication, and implementation of Commscope's Global BU Procurement activities working closely with site and category purchasing teams. Focus on business continuity, identifying risks in the supply chain, i.e., single, or sole sourced materials with development initiatives to build mitigation, cost optimization, NPI support, and overall supply chain simplification activities. Effectively assist in identifying ways to consolidate the supply base. Drive the Procurement aspects of New Product Launches including supplier selection and bill of material costing with the objective of launching new products with the Right Cost and Right Supply Chain from the start of production. Manage Key Performance Indicators ensuring metrics are meeting targets and drive BU related cost reduction objectives with responsibility to deliver on the annual cost reduction plan. Participate and support Make Vs. Buy decisions and sourcing strategy within a cross functional team with a keen understanding on how to build both business and product knowledge and how to use market trends to make sourcing decisions. Required Qualifications for Consideration:
A completed bachelor's degree and Eight (8) years' experience in procurement, supply chain or related field required. Procurement experience in electronics and/or telecommunications. Successful and progressive management experience along with Critical thinking skills where you are capable of sharing and driving people towards a vision Demonstrated experience at influencing decisions and opinions, negotiating, and building consensus. Ability to travel up to 35% of the time (including international travel) You Will Excite Us If You Have:
